To Homeland, homeland is Southern Switzerland. To the four musicians, each contributing to successful musical projects in far places such as Berlin and Bern, performing as Homeland means coming home. Indeed they all share the same geographical extraction.

Introspective melodic lines, supported by the exuberant creativity of a tight rhythm section, now ticking like clockwork, then painting impressionist soundscapes, well communicate the band’s objective of simply performing good songs, letting both the moment and close human rapport tinge each performance.

Gabriele Pezzoli, leader of his own successful piano trio, and brothers Nolan, Simon and Brian Quinn, core of the multi-faceted musicians’ collective /q3/, join forces in Homeland, each contributing to the band their manifold professional experience, which is definitely remarkable for musicians of their age. While Gabriele Pezzoli publishes repeatedly for the prestigious label TCB—The Montreux Label and performs all over Europe, /q3/ collaborates with musicians such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Bill Carrothers, tours Europe and achieves numerous record and concert productions.

Homeland has performed with the likes of Olivier Ker Ourio, Bill Carrothers, Tino Tracanna and Max De Aloe.
